Never would I have dreamed it would go on and on. The first few weeks were great as we all made the most of this new work-from-home schedule. I set three daily goals: 1) clean something 2) exercise and 3) create something. I did a great job of working on projects that had been on my to-do list for years -- a Christmas apron, a smocked velvet pillow, sour dough starter and more kinds of bread than I'd have dreamed. My weight stayed down and I did drop a couple of pounds with faithful long walks. But when we realized this was going on indefintely, things fell apart. I no loner wanted to clean, I was done creating and the lines at Joann to get something as simple as elastic or thread just weren't worth it. I continued with the baking and think that's what got me through. Thankfully most everything turned out perfectly. I needed that.
One year into it, we finally had our early 60's kitchen remodeled. I was thankful to not leave the house during the chaos of living in boxes and being available to immediately answer questions from the builder. The new kitchen is better than I imagined. Experience may possibly be better than dreaming.
